DEFAULT SETTINGS
Save information on the declaration that is commonly used in every shipment (e.g. signatory information, shipper address, additional handling information, etc.) and automatically populate with each new declaration.

PRODUCT CODES
Assign product codes (inventory control numbers) to existing dangerous goods entries for quick population in future declarations created.

 

ELECTRONIC DATA PROCESSING (EDP)

INSTANT DOCUMENTATION TRANSFER
IATA DGR 8.1.4.1.2 allows dangerous goods declarations to be transferred electronically from a shipper to carrier. ShipHazmat annual membership customers can use EDP with participating carriers by linking declaration information with HAZMAT® for instant transfers and immmediate production of compliant NOTOCs.

 

RETENTION OF DOCUMENTATION

ShipHazmat complies with 2011 IATA DGR 8.0.2.2 for documentation retention requirements, including documents that are stored electronically.

 

OPERATOR VARIATION — FEDEX FX-18

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 10, 2011
The Bureau of Dangerous Goods, Ltd. is an approved software applications vendor for FedEx® with its ShipHazmat web and software applications. The FX-18 operator variation requires all shipper's declarations to be prepared using either (a) approved software vendors, (b) third party proprietary software, or (c) FedEx automated shipping solution software (e.g. Ship Manager®).

 

U.S. GOVERNMENT STATE VARIATIONS

INTEGRAL PART OF LOGIC
All United States government (USG) State Variations are incorporated into programming logic as core components of regulatory checks, when applicable.

ShipHazmat.net is a web-based application. Users only need an Internet connection and web browser to begin creating compliant dangerous goods declarations.

Additional requirements for using ShipHazmat may include:
  • JavaScript enabled in web browser
  • Cookies enabled
  • Color printer (if you need to print red borders with the declaration)
  • PDF add-on installed in the web browser (e.g. comes with Adobe® Acrobat)

PRICING PLANS FOR FREQUENT AND INFREQUENT SHIPPERS

ShipHazmat offers a pricing plan for those who ship dangerous goods by aircraft frequently and those who only occasionally ship dangerous goods.
  • Per click — Pay as you go. No commitment necessary. Just pay $13.95 USD per completed dangerous goods declaration.
  • Annual membership — Create compliant declarations without limitations. Get started for $825.00 with a flat membership fee and 1st user license included.

PRINTING OPTIONS

Compliant dangerous goods declarations are viewed and printed from a generated PDF displayed in the web browser. Declarations can be printed with or without the required red borders.

For users with restrictive web browser settings that are unable to download any plug-ins, we offer alternative HTML-based print outs that do not require any downloads or installations. Using conventional and standard HTML 4.0 markup, ShipHazmat can generate compliant declarations and send them directly to the printer.
