Electronic Data Processing
Transfer your dangerous goods shipment information to a participating air carrier over the Internet.
Send dangerous goods declarations to carriers electronically even before your shipment leaves.
In 2009, the IATA regulations allowed for the acceptance of electronic data processing (EDP) or electronic data interchange (EDI) of shippers declaration forms as a valid means of submitting the appropriate documentation from a shipper to carrier for declaring dangerous goods in a shipment (see IATA DGR 8.1.4.1.2).As a leading innovator of dangerous goods technology solutions, ShipHazmat®.NET has already adopted this concept into its core list of features. Registered and approved shippers who use ShipHazmat® are able to send completed shippers declaration forms to participating air carriers with a click of a button, in accordance with all IATA regulations governing EDP transfers and shipping dangerous goods by air transport.
Working with its sister web application known as HAZMAT®, fully compliant dangerous goods declaration forms are transmitted from the shipper to a participating air carrier seamlessly even before the shipment leaves the dock facility of the shipper or freight forwarder. Corresponding NOTOC documents and emergency response information can be generated almost instantly and sent to pilots and emergency response personnel in a standardized format, providing an enhanced level of compliance, safety, efficiency and ability to respond to a dangerous goods accident prepared and in a timely manner.
Electronic Data Processing Notes
